I know I'll take some sh*t for this. Hell, not too long ago, I would have been the one throwing sh*t at someone who watched the goddamn X Games. But the last couple years, I've really started digging the Winter X Games. Anyone else watch?

I typically will watch them, but I prefer the summer X Games. I did not watch last night, though. I wasn't really in the mood to listen to them drool over Shaun White all night...which they did in the brief 5 minutes I was watching Snow-X last night.

I don't really watch, but I've got no issue with those that do. The bits and pieces I catch are pretty awesome from both the Summer and Winter games.

I'll watch on and off although the "judged" events have scoring that's laughable at best. I'm convinced they make up at least half the trick names as they go.....I'm betting we hear Double Pits to Chesty and Helsinki Smash Rod before the end of the Games.

I'm not a big fan of these made for ESPN wanna be sports but they had it on in my watering hole last night and I found myself wondering-Where do this guys go to practice this crazy a$$ sh1t? It's not like there is a monster half pipe in every town? How the hell do you figure out how to do a back flip over an airborne snow mobile the first time? I can't imagine that goes well.

Yeah you know those "color" commentators (stoners) come up with some of those beauties on the fly.

Don't get me wrong. As an organized sport, it's a complete joke. I just think it's cool watching these potheads do backflips on snowmobiles and bitchin jumps on the superpipe.

Although the one concept they got right from a competition standpoint, is having all the skiers/snowboarders racing at the same time. One track, everyone goes at the gun, first one down the mountain wins. That's how skiing should be. I think they've actually added snowboard and ski X as olympic events now.

WHISTLER, British Columbia -- A men's Olympic luger from the former Soviet republic of Georgia died after a crash during training Friday, an Olympic official with direct knowledge of the crash said.

The official told The Associated Press that the International Olympic Committee received confirmation of Nodar Kumaritashvili's death. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the 21-year-old luger's family hadn't been notified yet.

Granted I am not an engineer, doctor, or Olympic athlete, but that just seems to be a design flaw right from the start.
