It wasn't his mistake. It was Wayne's mistake.

Oh BTW thanks for the text after the pick six.

So you chose to be a dumbasss and promote that this was his loss? If the receiver does his job and comes up on the route that INT doesn't happen. I knew this would be your take....but somehow thought you would take the high road.....my bad.

Awesome. Wouldn't expect anything else from Colt fan. Colts win its because of Gomer, lose someone else is to blame.

How about the other two near picks that he threw in the fourth quarter, were they someone else's fault too?

How about the possibility that the defensive player made a great read and a good play? That's a play the Colts run a lot, and the guy was sitting on it. I'd rather just give the Saints credit than try to blame anyone on the Colts. Sometimes the other guys just make a better play.

I've been fairly critical of Manning over the years when I thought it was merited, but I don't think he lost them the game tonight.

My question is why wasnt that an out route. With the full blitz coming and the DB covering the comeback route.

But he's the greatest QB of all-time. He should have known what Porter had for breakfast, he should have known his email address, his favorite color, he studies more film than anybody else, cares more about the game than all the other players who ever played the game, combined. He should have know Porter would jump that route based on his body language and non-verbal communication.

You can't have it both ways. Gomer went Gomer when it counted the most. Scoreboard.

Brady 3
Manning 1

for the guy who NEVER gives PM any credit and ALWAYS gives him the blame, i imagine this is a pretty easy position for you to take... but don't mistake it for you being "right."

the Colts needed 5 yards with the game on the line... the Colts assumed NO would JUST keept the WRs in front of them... instead, the DBs jumped the short routes AND they had an LB blitz on (great call btw, and kudos to them... i wouldn't give them any credit either if i were you, sounding like an ass suits you better). soooo, based on the protection called and the routes being ran, PM threw the pass he had to and it goes the other way... these things happen...

i guess they could've asked themselves what do they want us to think they're gonna do, and what can we do to beat what they actually do??? - and try the pump and go.... ahhh, hindsight...

BS. I have said numerous times that Gomer is the best QB from September to December. He just pisses it away when it counts the most. Tonight was just another example.

If you believe a single word of this, which I seriously doubt you do, you have officially cashed in whatever credibility you had left.

Agreed. I think I'd rather have my page 1 (WR) comments dissected than reply to RD's delusions.

Need to chime in here.

First, the dropped pass, in my mind, wasn't the game changer. Big? Certainly. Crucial? Of course. Game changer? Nah.

Second, I can't blame this on 18, as RD says we must. I'm with DBO that the receiver corps needs work. 44 had a nice game. 85 was adequate, as he has been all year. (He benefits from being opposite 87.) 17 had a nice rookie year. It'll be interesting to see what happens once 11 gets back.

Tonight, 87 was not himself. If he wants to be an elite receiver like 88 was, he simply cannot drop that TD pass on the goal line. He simply cannot come up 2 yds short on that one 3rd down pass. He simply cannot allow Porter to get that pick-6. We've seen 18 move away from him this year. I think there's more to it than the fact that he's drawing all the other team's #1 defenders and double covs.

Eh, their receivers aren't anything special. Wayne and Clark are the only two that would even start in most systems. Collie and Garcon are guys 18 trusts, and at this point, that's as important, if not more so, than talent. See Brandon Stokley. The Colts are probably better off with "system guys" than guys with raw talent like a Desean Jackson. That said, I wouldn't be surprised to see them try to upgrade in the draft. They should get Gonzo back next year, too.

Basket can go ahead and GTFO any time now. What a pathetic effort on that onside kick. He may as well have let it hit him square in the nuts.

Keyshawn and Carter both blamed the Pick 6 on Wayne. As receivers I would probably defer to them on that. Although I'm still not sure that play was anything other than Porter anticipating what was coming and making a nice play on the ball. That's the kind of play the Colts defense has made all year, and I've always been more inclined to give the Colt defender the credit. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, I still think it was a good defensive play more than anything.

I'm sorry. I don't explain my material. I'm sure there are people on here who will appreciate it as is. Maybe one of them can explain it to you. Nothing personal, Skirt.

agreed. Must suck to be brought in as a WR and be stuck on the kickoff receiving team and have a Matt Holliday happen to him.
